Senior Consultant / Project Manager – 23k-30K plus site allowance and bonus (c.£5,000)
Our client is a contaminated land and groundwater contractor and consultancy company providing a wide range of environmental services throughout the UK.
The company undertake the investigation, risk assessment and treatment of a wide range of land and groundwater contamination problems ranging from oil spills to brownfield sites.
They also operate a drilling team / rig and have built up an enviable reputation together with a core of satisfied clients.
Due to ongoing expansion they are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant / Project Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATION
You will report directly to the company's senior Directors and will assume responsibility for running projects to budget as well as liaising with clients directly.
QUALITIES BEING SOUGHT
The ideal candidate should have a geoenvironmental / geotechnical, contaminated land or civil engineering background with 4+ years working experience and have previous experience of project management.
You should have experience in design work and or/interpretative report writing skills and adaptable and dependable and the capable to work in a team as well as alone.
Chartership, progression towards obtaining a chartered status with a relevant organisation would be an advantage. A full UK driving licence is essential. This is a long-term career opportunity with a rapidly expanding company for a positive, methodical and well organised senior consultant / project manager who has good communication skills and who is flexible and can manage projects and lead a team.
The job will be based at our offices in Sittingbourne Kent, but will involve travelling throughout the UK and possibly abroad.
WORKING HOURS
40 hours a week, but often longer due to site work.
REMUNERATION
23k-30K (according to qualifications and experience) plus site allowance and bonus (c.£5,000+ p.a.)
When working at the base a taxable site allowance of £20 /day will be paid on top of earnings.
When working away from base a tax free food allowance of £22.00 a day will be paid by our client as will hotel accomodation.
UNSOCIABLE HOURS
Weekend overtime (if required):
Saturday - 1.5 x basic rate
Sunday 2 x basic rate
OTHER BENEFITS
23 days holiday allowance pro rata (increasing to 25 days after 3 years employment)
Optional Company Pension Scheme after completion of a probationary period.
Personal protective clothing will be provided by our client. The successful candidate will be expected to arrange his/her own transport daily to the company’s base in Sittingbourne in Kent.
RELOCATION
Some help may be available with relocation although the successful candidate should do his/her best to find suitable accommodation near to the place of work before commencing employment.
