The best things in life
are free ...
Imagine this, you wake up in the morning
at 5.00am at home, have a wash and the doorbell sounds, it's your taxi
to take you to the airport. Your flight to London has already been booked
for you and as you head towards the airline counter, your tickets are
already there waiting for you.
Soon you're flying at speed towards London Heathrow which
is only 3 hours away and because of the time difference, you arrive in
London in time for breakfast. One of our staff greets you and takes you
to your hotel.
After checking in and leaving your bags in your room
(mmm - very comfortable, you say to yourself), you meet up again with
the person who met you at the airport, but just before you enter the hotel
lounge, you pass by the dining room where people are still enjoying their
breakfast, the smell is exquisite, sensing this he asks you if you would
like to try a good traditional English breakfast of toast, beans, sausage,
bacon and eggs with a glass of freshly squeezed orange or tea if you would
prefer. He's obviously a mind-reader you think to yourself, how can you
Over breakfast, the company who are interested in hiring
you becomes the main topic of discussion. You soon learn that they're
a much larger company than you thought, with some of the best research
facilities in the world and some of the best minds, some of which you
would love to meet.
Breakfast over, you're taken to
their headquarters and introduced to the companies human resource manager.
She takes you into a conference room where you notice several other people
chatting away. You quickly learn that they're talking about the area of
research that you are in and you join the conversation easily, everyone
there speaks some English, some better than others.
A very smartly dressed lady enters the room and asks
for everyone to pay attention. You are told that you are going to see
a presentation showing the scope of the company's activities around the
world, you're asked to relax and just enjoy the images and commentary
that will be presented, there will be more than enough time for questions
later or over lunch which the company will provide in its' dining facility
which isn't far away. You suddenly realise that this is only the first
morning of 3 days you'll be spending being shown around the company, being
introduced to people who work there in your field, and you realise that
you will also have time to enjoy the theatres and exhibitions before you
have to leave for home and it hasn't cost you any money! ... you wonder
if this is a dream and if you're going to suddenly wake up.
But STOP, this isn't a dream, but it is the kind of dream
introduction that euro-resource strive to deliver for each of our candidates.
It is because you are so highly educated or qualified,
that employers realise that they must treat you with the greatest dignity
and respect in order to win you over to come and work for them. They realise
that they cannot expect you to pay to come to see them, when it is they
who are looking for someone like you to come and work for them. What is
more, they seek to impress candidates with what they can offer, so you
should expect to get a lot from them!
The dream isn't over, it's just beginning ...
