Does age or gender make any difference?
Naturally, highly qualified
tradesmen and expert specialists will be older than less trained people
because they have studied longer, and because of this, many will be married.
If your wife, husband or partner has a university degree, you will find
it easier to get a work permit under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
HSMP, providing your wife joins
you in the UK.
According to statistics published by the
government, the migrant worker population in the UK is composed of 74%
What if I'm married?
If your wife or husband cannot join you,
she or he will be able to obtain a visa to visit you, providing that you
have obtained employment through the Highly Skilled Migrants Programme
Since you can expect between 4 - 6 weeks
holidays (with pay) each year, you may consider making several visits
annually to your native country in order to visit your family and friends.
If your husband or wife
also qualifies for work in the UK, we will do our best to find him or
her employment either with the same company or so that you are both working
close to each other in the same town or city. If this is case, please
tell us when you apply.
